O Hesus, Hilumin Mo

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
-Psalm 147:3

In times of bitterness and pain and hurt there is no one else you can hold on to but Him. :)

No one heals a broken bitter heart better than He does.

Find your way back home.

I have this habit of googling for the meanings of some of the songs I listen to. Sometimes some songs have too obscure references and hard to understand metaphors.

But then again, what matters most is your own interpretation, right?

Anyways. This morning was full of fail. Everything was shitty, and I was so down. Grabe lang ha, may rain effect pa kanina nung nagpapalit kami ng gulong ng kotseng naflat ang gulong.

And it was this Plain White T’s song that kept playing in my head when I was so so sooooooo down this morning. And it cheered me up, somehow. And when I listened to it this evening, it calmed me down.

Reading through the lyrics and looking at it in a different perspective, It seems like it’s Him who is singing to me.

Asking us to float back to Him when we lose our way.

Because He is not that far. :)

So don’t keep Him waiting!

Plain White T’s – Sunlight

When the storm won’t end
On your raging sea
When you’ve all but given up
Float back to me

When the waves come down
And your arms get weak
When you’re tired of bailing out
Float back to me

‘Cause I can see sunlight
Through my window
If you open your eyes you’ll
Find your way back home

When you’re all alone
Stuck in the dark
When you’ve lost your way in life
I won’t be far

When the seasons change
And you fall apart
When the winter chill is near
I won’t be far

Baby
Can you hear me?
Come home
Baby
I need you near me
Come home

Well it’s lonely now
In this hotel room
And these sheets are empty, love

LalalaLOVE!

I haven’t really been waiting for Christmas to arrive. I don’t obsessively indulge in the Christmas countdowns, counting every day, hour, minute, second. But, I do wait until the clock strikes 12.

And when the first minutes of December 25th do arrive, I immediately greet the people who are truly truly close to my heart: my beloved family who have always been there for me.

And of course, I say a little prayer to Jesus, who’s birthday we’re celebrating. After all, He’s the real reason for the season, right?

Why are we celebrating in the first place?

Why is it called CHRISTmas if it wasn’t for the one we call Christ?

And where would the one whom we call Christ, our Lord and Savior, come from if it wasn’t for God and His love?

In the end, everything boils down to one word, and that word is LOVE.

It is because of God’s extremely overflowing love that we are celebrating. Because of His love there is you, and me, and Jesus, and everybody! Because of His love, there is Christmas! :D

It’s just right that in whatever way we can think of we give back and also share the all love we received. Sabi nga nila Michael Jackson diba, “give love on Christmas day.” Heehee.

It’s that time of the year when you can give people love without being that awkward.

So, here’s me doing my part: I love you all! :D

Most especially, I love You!

Thank you all, for everything.

Have a lovely and blessed CHRISTmas everyone!

Holding On

Saan Man Ako Bumaling, Ika’y Naroon.

This is one of my more favorite Jesuit songs. It always gives me this warm fuzzy feeling whenever I listen to it. And it uplifts my spirit whenever I feel sad, down, or tired. Reminds me that He’s just always there even if I choose not to notice Him.

That’s how much He loves us. :)

Matthew 19:14

(I’m sorry for the crappy writing. I did this within 20 minutes of waking up. And I’m in no condition to edit. So just publish, I did. Hahaha. God bless all of you.)

Josie and I have been volunteering for CRIBS for some time now. I was supposed to have written an entry about it within the week of our first visit, but it sounded too much like a reflection paper for school, so I scrapped it. The next draft also felt like it was an academic paper. It too, was scrapped. Now, I’m writing this first thing in the morning (straight from waking up), with no preparation whatsoever so it would sound as natural as it could be.

Angel of Mercy

OneRepublic has got to be one of my more favorite bands now. And no, it’s not because of Apologize. :p

Anyways, this song is dedicated to Josie. I know you’re going through hard times right now. And I just want you to know I’m here for you. :) And of course, Someone bigger than me is here for us.
